Kids & Teens in the Valley are hiring!

Job Title: Administrator
Hours: 24 hours/ week, Permanent part-time, 4-Year Contract

A not-for-profit organisation supporting children and teens aged 6–18 in the Derwent Valley, Tasmania. The Administrator provides essential administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth running of the organisation. This role contributes to efficient office operations, staff recruitment and onboarding, financial administration, and stakeholder communication, supporting the overall mission of empowering youth in the community.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage office administration, records, correspondence, and filing systems

  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and HR-related processes

  • Coordinate meetings, events, and stakeholder communications

  • Assist with financial administration, reporting, and basic bookkeeping

  • Maintain efficient office systems to support program delivery


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Certificate III or IV in Business Administration, or equivalent experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cloud-based tools

  • Experience in administration, records management, and basic finance/HR support

  • Experience in not-for-profit or community organisations is desirable

  • Current Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration is mandatory

Kids & Teens in the Valley is a not-for-profit organisation based in the beautiful Derwent Valley.
They are a place-based organisation fully committed to improving the social and emotional well-being of young people 6-18 years and their families.
They run evidence-based personal growth programs, recreational and developmental activities, and a free school holiday program for children aged 6-12.
They are grateful to Communities for Children Southeast, who fund their 6-12 programs.
They will continue to work hard to build strong relationships with families, schools, other service providers, and the local community.
