Cellar Door & Cafe Manager

This role requires someone who is proactive in ensuring the smooth operation of the hospitality functions of the business and also able to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities. They should have a strong focus on presentation, a desire to deliver exceptional customer experience, and a genuine love of tourism and spirits. They must also take pride in developing these skills in others and achieving results as a team.

Due to the nature of your role as Cellar Door/Cafe Manager and that the business operates seven days per week you will be required to work on weekends and may be required to work at night. The work pattern will be agreed upon by both parties.



· First Aid Certificate.

· Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA).

· Food Safety Supervisor Training.

· Current Tasmnian Driver’s License.

· Barista Training.

· Certificate III in Tourism or Hospitality.


This role requires a person with extensive experience working in:

- hospitality in a ‘front of house’ capacity or

- in a small restaurant/café or

- delivering a tourism experience and

- managing and mentoring staff.


· Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

· System literacy including the use of point of sale applications.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.


· Ability to make people feel welcome.

· Have a constant desire to deliver an enjoyable, memorable and exceptional experience for customers.

· Be customer orientated and want to actively engage and build relationships with customers.

· A professional but keen to contribute to a fun workplace.

· Be highly self-motivated with strong initiative and work ethic.

· Ability to manage an efficient and productive team environment.

· Enjoys being part a team.

· Value workplace health and safety for all staff and customers.

· Very well organised and able to meet deadlines.

· Very high attention to detail.

· A willingness to work flexible hours.

· Proven ability to work with little to no supervision and be able to follow directions precisely.

· A sound knowledge of and passion for whisky and other spirits.

· The ability to evolve and create enjoyable tourism experiences.

The ability to actively contribute creativity and experience to our management team and strategy.
