Overview

The Census field workforce plays a crucial role in supporting participation in the Census. We will be hiring more than 30,000 people for the 2026 Census. Our workforce will reflect the diversity of people and communities in Australia.

Census field jobs are temporary. Some may only last a few weeks, while others may be for 6 months or longer. You can choose the hours you work and fit them into your schedule.

We need people in every part of Australia, and more than half the jobs don’t require any prior experience.
