Digital Uplift Project Officer

Overview

Are you passionate about digital inclusion, community learning, and economic and social participation in Tasmania?

Thanks to our partnership with Telstra, an opportunity exists for two suitably qualified Digital Uplift Project Officers to join the RDA Tasmania team to lead and deliver the Digital Uplift – Helping Tasmanians Access a More Connected Future project.

This project aims to reach digitally excluded and highly digitally excluded working-age Tasmanians who are not otherwise captured by existing programs delivered in Tasmania. It will include developing and delivering digital skills modules both 1:1 and in small groups in partnership with credible community organisations; undertaking train-the-trainer sessions with staff members from within partner organisations, and reporting on impact.

Requirements

If you are someone who:

  • Enjoys and is experienced in delivering learning content to a range of community members, including those in vulnerable circumstances;

  • Has a strong understanding of digital tools (both hardware and software) and how they can be used (and taught) in everyday life, including for those with limited digital ability; and

  • Is a seasoned project manager and problem solver with experience reporting to a funding body;

  • Access to work, learning, and essential services through online means is improved across Tasmania.


Other details:

  • The roles are contract positions until 30 June 2027, with the opportunity to extend pending external funding.

  • The employees will be provided with a car to carry out travel required.

  • Flexible working conditions, including part time appointments or job share may be considered.

  • An attractive salary package to attract high quality candidates is available dependent on skill level and experience.

About The Company

RDA Tasmania is a not-for-profit organisation that has a formal partnership between the Australian Government, Tasmanian Government, and the Local Government Association of Tasmania (LGAT). A key focus of RDA Tasmania is on the economic, social and environmental issues affecting communities. We exist to support a thriving economy and society in Tasmania.

These positions are funded by Telstra for the sole purpose of delivering the Digital Uplift project.
