Kids & Teens in the Valley are hiring!
Job Title: Program Facilitator
Hours: 24 hours/ week, Permanent Part-Time, 4-Year Contract
A not-for-profit organisation supporting children and teens aged 6–18 in the Derwent Valley, Tasmania. We are seeking a Program Facilitator to design, deliver, and evaluate strengths-based programs for children and teens, including initiatives such as Growing Together: Fun Projects for Social Skills and Well-Being. This role focuses on creating engaging, inclusive, and youth-friendly programs that build confidence, connection, emotional skills, and a sense of belonging. Programs are designed to be safe, accessible, and developmentally appropriate, supporting positive youth engagement and wellbeing across the Derwent Valley.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Plan, deliver, and evaluate programs and activities for children and teens
Monitor participant progress and provide regular reports
Collaborate with community partners to enhance program outcomes
Ensure compliance with child safety and organisational policies
Deliver high-quality wrap-around support activities in line with best practice and TCFG funding guidelines
Plan, communicate, and action strategies to maintain student engagement and support
Undertake out-of-hours work when required (negotiated as needed)
Maintain accurate records of program activities and travel
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma or Certificate IV in Youth Work, Community Services, or Education Support, or equivalent experience
Experience in program planning, delivery, and evaluation
Knowledge of child safety, risk management, and best practice approaches
Experience in training, facilitation, coaching, and mentoring
Full driver’s license required and access to a fully insured vehicle for local travel to schools and community events. Reimbursement for travel kilometres provided.
First Aid and CPR certification desirable
