Tradesperson - Water Infrastructure Projects

Overview

The Opportunity:
Waternish Engineering is looking for a skilled and motivated Tradesperson to join our growing Tasmanian team. With a strong pipeline of water infrastructure projects across the state, we’re creating this new full-time role to support current and future works.
Based in Tasmania, the role will be part of our current construction team in Hobart. You’ll work closely with our existing team members to deliver mechanical and civil water infrastructure projects, with the opportunity to grow as your skill base with a variety of work and great training opportunites.
Whilst we’d like to have you in our team for the longer term we’re open to discussing shorter term contracts of no less than 3 months to potentially better align with what you are looking for.

Requirements

Must Haves:

- Trade qualification (or relevant industry specific experience).

- White Card

- Current and valid TAS driver’s licence. 

- Willingness to commit to minimum 3 month contract.

- Experience in construction and/or water infrastructure delivery.

- Background in mechanical, civil or plumbing trades.

- Ability to work as part of a crew and lead site activities when required.

- Hands-on, can-do attitude and willingness to take on responsibility.

- Understanding of safety and quality standards on construction sites.

- Willingness to travel across Tasmania based on project needs.


Desirable

- Previous experience working on TasWater (or other utility infrastructure projects)

- First Aid

- Working in Confined Space

- Working at Heights
