Overview

The ‘Connection to Land & Sea’ Aboriginal pre-employment program encourages individuals who identify as Aboriginal and are on their own cultural and personal growth journey to be involved.

Commencement: July 2025
Duration: 8-10 Weeks
Commitment: 2-3 Days/Week
Cost: FREE - $0 (fully-funded)
Location: Brighton (& surrounds)

This program offers participants the opportunity to engage in the following workshops, training and site-visit offerings:

-Cultural Awareness & Education
-Communication & Conflict Resolution
-White Card (Safety Induction Training)
-First Aid (&CPR)
-ChemCert (Agricultural Chemical Skill Set)
-Brush Cutter Operations
-Chainsaw Safety & Operations
-Elevated Work Platform (EWP)
-Site Visits to Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Sites
-Hands-on work experience placements

*Note: Places are limited and participants will be selected following a pre-screening interview process.
